Ingredients
Potato – 250 grams
Chili Powder – 2 teaspoons
Cooking Oil – 2 teaspoons
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Cooking Method
- Wash the potatoes well and put in the pressure cooker with enough water to cook them. Switch on the stove then place the pressure cooker in the stove then wait for 2 whistle.
- When the potatoes are cooked, remove the whistle from the pressure cooker slowly. Keep the whistle aside. Before removing the pressure cooker’s whistle, make sure that the air is released. Do this by slightly lifting the whistle with a spoon. Once the whistle is released then slowly open the lid of the cooker.
- The water in the pressure cooker must be removed. You can use a tablespoon to take the potatoes and put them in another vessel. Alternatively, drain the water slowly from the cooker, being careful not to hurt yourself. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces.
- Place the Pan on the stove and then pour oil. The stove should be in medium heat to prepare crispy potatoes. Put potatoes, chili powder, and salt directly in the pan. Mix them well. Alternatively, mix potatoes, chili powder, and salt in a bowl first, then put them in the pan.
- Stir the mixture every 30 seconds to cook crispy in all side of the potatoes. The mixture should be stirred until the potatoes are crispy. If needed pour some oil and stir it well. Turn off the stove and let it cool as soon as it becomes crispy.
- Potato fry can be mixed with rice or served with Sambar, Rasam, Dal, Dosa, Poori and chapati. Serves 2-3 people.
